Are you confused about who to listen to when it comes health and wellness these days? I get it. I'm right there with you. There are reputable sources saying different, opposing views. It's easy to get stuck in a rut when we don't even know where to start.
Listen, you can try all these fad diets and yes, some of them work, but some of them don't work and some of them can be dangerous. You do not have to do anything extreme. It's time to get back to the basics.
Try adding one things from this list to add some wellness to your life:

Back to the basics
Move your body often, sometimes hard. Everything counts. Moving your body for just 30 minutes a day, getting your heart rate pumping lowers your risk of disease and depression. Don't discredit a short 10 minute walk. That counts!
Eat a variety of foods that nourish your body. Foods high in nutritional content include food from the farm or water.
Get a good night's sleep. 7-9 hours of uninterrupted sleep keeps you in optimal health.
Don't smoke. Don't drink excessively. Smoking can cause cancers, heart disease, as well as other diseases. Drinking excessively is also associated with chronic illness and cancers.
Stay hydrated. Our bodies get dehydrated easily causing them not to function properly. Your cells need water. Go for half your body weight in ounces a day.
Manage your stress. Find ways to have less stress in your life. Seek professional help, if needed.
Build Community. When we have community we have others to support us through ups and downs. Social connectedness is very much associated with longevity.
