Ever feel like you don't have willpower?

If there was one thing I wish I knew years ago it’s that…

Restrictive dieting strategies set us up for failure in the long run.

Dieting is depriving your body of the nutrients it needs.

When diets fail, it’s not because you lack willpower. Our bodies haven't caught up with evolution are wired for survival. Our bodies react to calorie deprivation with countermeasures that include metabolic, hormonal and neurological changes that overwhelm willpower. Calorie restriction can lead to slower metabolism, increased hunger hormone and decreased satiety.

Instead of dieting, trying focusing on these instead:

  •  You don't have to focus on calories.

  • Strong emphasis on making food choices that feed our body on a cellular level.

  • Quality of food over quantity is a better focus.

  • Instead of taking food away, think about what foods you can add to your plate.

Remember it's ok not to diet and maybe throw out that scale too!
