Happy New Year! I hope you have had a great start to the new year and 2023 is good to you! I hope you remain healthy and not so stressed!!
I know it's the first Monday of the New Year which means you might be starting your resolutions! I just want to remind you to give yourself grace!
Maybe this year, instead of going on a diet, you decide it's time to ditch the food guilt once and for all.
As a health coach, I find the importance to be healthy, but there is so much to it that is not related to weight and feeling guilty about what you are eating.
So maybe this year, ditch the scale, and the food guilt and remember that you more than that number on a scale!

Why there is no need for food guilt
A well balanced diet and lifestyle includes all types of food. Nourishing your body comes from food, culture, tradition and enjoyment.
Food guilt can be damaging to our mental health. Stressing about food you ate or what you are going to eat can cause more damage to our bodies that actually eating food that is not highly nutritious.
Food guilt tends to lead to overeating. A study shows that those who associate chocolate cake with celebration rather than guilt have a greater relationship with food and do not tend to overeat it as much as those who felt guilty about it.
Food guilt mentality leads to all-or-nothing attitude about food. It's either you're all in or all out. It doesn't have to be that way. You can balance and eat it all.
I know this isn't always easy! Society is telling you that it's time for a diet! but remember you are in charge of you and you don't have to listen! Time to ditch the food guilt!
