Have you seen your friends lately?

Stress isn't good for you! Are you surprised? Probably not!

What's not helping stress is feeling lonely and disconnected.

Chronic stress impacts you on a cellular level that makes you more susceptible to chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and some types of cancers. Stress also play a role in our aging process.

But guess what?

Your social connections can play a major role in your stress level.  Diet and exercise are not the only criteria for health. Having positive relationships, feeling supported and laughing help with living longer too.

So it's time to make a date out with your friends! It's what the doctor ordered.

Wanna make a new group of friends?

  • Join a walking group or book club in your community

  • Find a fitness studio/group that caters to people like you (same age, interests, etc.), and build a new network based on shared goals.

  • Take a class to learn a new hobby or skill that you’ve been wanting to try.

On top of being a great stress-busting outlet for you, it might also help improve your long-term health!

Life is too much sometimes! Don't forget to take time for social activities!

What are you going to do this week to ensure you are seeing your friends?
