How are you looking at what you eat?

Remember those charts showing how many burpees or miles it takes to burn off a slice of pizza or a donut? They're interesting, but they miss the big picture. They only consider calorie counting.

Sure, calories matter, but nutrition and fueling your body is more important.

Food can be packed with vitamins, minerals, and other compounds that help build and power your muscles and bones, create and regulate hormones, boost your immune system, and help your cells and organs do their jobs.

And it can also be filled with unhealthy fats, added sugars, excess sodium, and refined grains that make it harder for your body to function at its best. So instead of counting calories, try this instead:

Focus on these:

  • Veggies & fruits: Colorful and nutrient-rich.

  • Lean proteins: Build and repair muscles.

  • Whole grains: Fuel your brain and body.

  • Healthy fats: Support heart health.

Limit these:

  • Added sugars: Empty calories that lead to weight gain.

  • Ultra-processed foods: Often high in unhealthy fats and sodium.

Remember, it's not just about burning calories. It's about fueling your body with the right stuff for a healthy and happy life.
