Stop overcomplicating this...

We love to make things more difficult for ourselves than it has to be. Have you ever tried starting out a new habit and before you even get used to the one habit, you think of ways to do it bigger and better? We all do this.
Then, sometimes we overthink it and make it too difficult and then we quit. For example, you decide you are going to eat more vegetable for the New Year. but by week 3 you are counting macros, intermittent fasting and not eating too many carbs! That is overcomplicating your goal! You don't have to do that for it to be effective.
If we have to choose between two things – one that’s clear and simple, or one that’s more complex with more steps – we usually choose the complex option.
The problem with that is it can be REALLY hard to keep up with over time.
Don’t get me wrong. Complex choices aren’t TERRIBLE, but if they make you feel stressed, overwhelmed, or get in the way of being consistent, then it’s time to streamline and get SIMPLE.
Focus on the thing(s) that work FOR you.
Here are some ways to make your routine simple:
Choose the simplest actions.
Make sure those actions work with your lifestyle & schedule.
Include activities and/or food you enjoy.
Consider working with an expert to keep you focused & accountable.
Give yourself grace.
The most important thing is that you choose actions that help you stay CONSISTENT!
Keet up the great work! You're doing amazing sweetie!
