First, I just want to to everyone who took my survey from last week. I would have written to each of you individually, but I can't see who takes them, so just know that I 100% appreciate it! If you missed it last week and would like to take it, I would greatly appreciate it. Here it is again: https://forms.gle/fv7ChT7SRyHUZrAN7
Thank you!
What are your thoughts on the aging process?
Last week, I turned 39 and the thought of aging used to scare the crap out of me. When I was 32 is when I really started to look at my health. I honestly was in so much pain. I used to think I was having early arthritis and sat with ice on my knees every night. Then, I started taking care of myself and the pain started to go away. I've change a lot of my habits since then and feel better than ever. I want you to know it is a slow process. No matter what anybody tells you, changing your habits and getting healthy is a slow process full of ups and downs, But anyone can do it with some simple changes. I will tell you now that I am not scared of the aging process and life just keeps getting better and better!
Here are some simple tips for healthy aging:

Tips for healthy aging:
Eat more nutrient dense foods. Lots of plants. Veggies. Fruits. Whole grains. Nuts. Seeds. Quality Protein sources. Fiber. Healthy fats.
Drink more water. Strive for half your body weight in ounces.
Good Sleep. Sleep is one of the most important aspects of health. Get your rest.
Move your body. Be active and get moving. Does not have to be torturous to be effective. Find anything you enjoy that involves movement.
Stress less. Do less of what makes you stressed out. Do more of what you enjoy. If you must be in stressful situations, be sure to find ways to combat the extra stress. Meditate. Slow down. Practice gratitude along the way.
Take in less toxins. Stop smoking. Drink less alcohol. Moderation is key.
Get in the sun. Vitamin D is essential for our health and helps prevent many chronic diseases. 5-15 minutes a day in direct sunlight is all you need.
Supplement where needed. All bodies are different. You may need to find out from a doctor what you are deficient in and supplement where needed. This is an individual need. For example, I was low on Vitamin D (which many of us are) so I take a supplement everyday and am now at the right levels. Talk to your doctor.
We can't stop the aging process, but we can certainly slow it down. Diet culture makes it seem so hard to be healthy, when you really don't have to restrict anything and just take a few tips from above and start adding them to your life. You don't have to do everything. 1% difference is still a 1% difference to feeling better.
Take one step at a time. What will you add this week?
Have a great week and as always thanks for being here!

Let's have some fun!
