What are your thoughts?

Let me preface this with, I don't even know if I can put what I am trying to convey into words and make sense.

Are you into longevity science?

Recently, I listened to a podcast about the possibilities of having a very long lifespan for humans. Can we live to 200 like tortoises? Predictions are that in the next 15 years we will be adding a year to our lives every year which essentially means we could just keep living until, who knows when.

We have technology to do this!! It's really fascinating!

BUUUTTTTTT.... my mind goes other places too. If you are in my book club, you know we are reading Untamed by Glennon Doyle. I won't give too much away if you haven't read it, but the introduction is about a cheetah that is tamed and if she had only known what the wild was like she would be there and the wild is still in her.

So, my question is, do we want to live forever if it means that we are not really living? In reality, we are just domesticated animals and animals in captivity tend to have a longer lifespan. Right? But is it better? I mean my cat has a pretty awesome life of sleeping all day, but does he really want to be out hunting the birds he is always chirping at through the window?

As someone who promotes a health program on how to live longer and feel younger, I have no answer to this question and honestly, I'm not even sure what my opinion is on it.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this subject! Please write me and let me know what you think on this topic?

Do you think all the science to live as long as we can will result in a better life or will we forget to live "in the wild" and enjoy?

Here is a look at the podcast that I referred to in the beginning of this email. It's fascinating. It's long, but worth it!

My coaching program gives tools and tactics to live a longer and healthier life, but also includes intuitive eating. This is not a diet. There are not strict rules. You will live healthier while living your life. If you want to learn more and see if it is something for you click, the link below to schedule a 15 minute meeting with me.

See you there!!! Have a happy week!

Let's have some fun!
