What can you hide?

Listen! I know not everyone likes veggies and try to avoid them at all costs. Some people are even genetically more likely to dislike vegetables. Did you know that? Is that you?

Veggies are full of important nutrients that help us live longer and avoid age-related diseases. They have antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fiber and phytonutrients. These help our bodies avoid deficiencies which is bad for our health.

Are you getting me? Vegetables are important whether you like them or not!

Don't worry though! There are ways to enjoy eating veggies by hiding them in your food instead of just eating boring pieces of raw celery and carrots.

Here are some ways to hide your veggies:

  1. Smoothies. These are an easy way to add spinach, kale or carrots to fruits and yogurt and juice/water/milk.

  2. Mac and Cheese. Cut up small pieces of cauliflower or even throw it in the food processor. It's delicious covered in cheese.

  3. Pasta Sauce. Pureed vegetables like broccoli, zucchini and carrots are hard to detect in sauce.

  4. Salsa. It is filled with veggies and delicious on chips!

  5. French Fries. Instead of getting them at a fast food restaurant full of oils, try making sweet potato fries and baking them or air frying them at home.

  6. Quick breads. This is a deliciously, sweet way to get zucchini, pumpkin or maybe some carrots.

  7. Pizza. Who doesn't love pizza? Try adding any veggies.
