You start losing this at 30…

How often do you think about building muscle?

Did you know that building muscle is linked to your overall health and the aging process?

We start to lose muscle at the age of 30 so if you are over 30 or close to that age,  you might want to pay attention to this.

On average, people lose around 3%-8% each decade… and then it speeds up after you turn 60. Muscle loss is one of the top causes of disability for older people – they become too weak to live alone and are more prone to falls and injuries.

The sooner you get started on building your muscle “bank,” the better!

Here are 5 reasons why you should start building muscle today:

1.You’ll build stronger bones.

Stressing your bones (when you’re doing it in a healthy way through strength training!) will help boost your bone density and cut the risk of osteoporosis and fractures when you get older.

2. It can help you manage chronic conditions.

Lifting weights can help you cut back on symptoms of arthritis, chronic pain, heart disease, depression, and diabetes.

3. It can help sharpen your thinking.

Studies link regular strength training and aerobic exercise with better brain function. 🧠

4. It’ll improve your quality of life.

Your everyday activities get easier – starting ASAP!

5. It helps you keep your balance.

Again, this can help you avoid slip & fall accidents now and as you get older.

As a health coach, I focus on more than just dieting. There's way more to health.
